Microsoft Teams + Tõlk

Stream a Teams meeting to Tõlk and send a language into a separate Teams meeting or town hall.

  1. Depends on plan

    Audio into Tõlk

    1. 1Admin: allow custom streaming apps in the Teams meeting policy.
    2. 2Pick the event in Tõlk and press “Create ingest key”.
    3. 3In the meeting (desktop app, as organizer): More → Apps → Custom Streaming; paste the server URL and stream key and start.

RTMP-out uses the “Custom Streaming” app in the meeting and must be allowed in the admin meeting policy.

  2. Depends on plan

    Tõlk sends each language in

    1. 1Create a second meeting or town hall for the language audience and enable RTMP-In in its meeting options.
    2. 2Paste its RTMP-In URL and key in Tõlk and press “Start sending”.
    3. 3In that meeting, start the RTMP-In feed so attendees see it.

RTMP-In is available for town halls, and for meetings and webinars with Teams Premium. An admin turns it on in the meeting policy.

Works through Microsoft Teams’s own streaming features. Microsoft Teams is a trademark of its owner; this is a workflow, not a partnership or endorsement.
